Wellbeing at Your Fingertips

In this workshop you will learn the authentic, effective and practical art of Do In, a technique that helps maintain personal wellbeing and harmony. The term “Do In” comes from the Japanese terms “do” which means “the way” and “in” which means “energy”.

The Do In therefore designates “The Way of Energy”. The term was first mentioned in the book “The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine”, the ancient and seminal book of Traditional Chinese Medicine which is said to have been written around 300 BC or as long ago as 2,600 BC.

Also called “energetic hygiene”, Do In is a technique of Japanese auto massage derived from Shiatsu and based on the theoretical principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It’s a simple practice that keeps us fit and young; an easy way to keep our good health, calm the mind and control the emotions.

In the same way that our blood circulates into our blood vessels, the energy circulates in our body following the energetic meridians. Do In’s pressures are done, along the meridians’ path, on acupuncture points with the tip of the thumb, forefinger and middle finger, and also with the palm of the hand, depending on the expected effect. Pressing or massaging specific areas of the body will unlock our energy system and restore the bioenergetic balance of the body.

Traditionally, Do In was practiced to maintain the physical harmony, mental serenity and spiritual elevation of individuals. It’s an easy to learn technique and even easier to apply it every day. In ten minutes of daily practice, the practitioner can release, wake up, and balance energies, avoiding thus the fatigue and the harmful effects of the excessive stress.

This workshop is presented in English and a workshop booklet will be provided.

“In order to become one, we must first reunite with our self”

– Daoist saying

  • The location of the energetic meridians and some key acupuncture points for a good flow of vital energy
